Host a retreat with us

Your people.
Your craft.
Our place.

Our retreat group together on the lawn

Picture your group, a room full of projects and a few days in the country. We’d love to help you make it happen at Yarraman Caravan Park & Cabins. Teach a workshop, bring your club or gather your crafty friends. We’ll help with the space, the stays and the details.

Which retreat sounds like you?

Three simple ways to make it happen. Not sure? Pick the closest one and we’ll work it out together.

1Teach a workshop

“I’d love to run my workshop at your place.”

You teach. We fill the room.

Bring your workshop and we’ll build a retreat around it. We promote it, take the bookings and look after the cabins and meals.

2Private retreat

“There are 10 of us. Can you run it just for us?”

You bring the people. We sort the rest.

Gather your friends or craft group for a private retreat. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll talk through the dates, plans and support you need.

3Your retreat, your way

“We’ve organised our group. Can we use the Craft Room?”

You plan the fun. We provide the space.

Book the Craft Room and cabins and run your retreat your way. We’re happy to suggest local catering contacts.

How each option works

1Teach a workshop

You teach. We fill the room.

Bring your workshop ideas and join us as a paid teacher for a retreat we organise. We promote the retreat and handle attendee bookings, with your teaching fee, materials and support agreed together.

We look after

  • Promoting the retreat and taking bookings
  • Payments and guest communication
  • Cabins, meals and dietary needs
  • Setting up the Craft Room, with a workstation for every guest
  • A private Facebook group for your guests before the retreat
  • Paying your kit costs once invoiced

You bring

  • Your workshop programme and teaching
  • Complete project kits, ready for guests when they arrive
  • Any special equipment, room setup or tools guests need to bring

2Private retreat

You bring the people. We sort the rest.

We can help plan a private retreat for friends, craft clubs, quilting circles and guilds. We’ll start with a conversation about your group, preferred dates and what you’d like to make.

If you’d like a workshop, we can help find a suitable teacher. Dates, teaching and other arrangements depend on availability and are agreed with you before booking. You don’t need to have all the details worked out to get in touch.

A few things
people ask

Can our group run its own retreat or can I teach at one you organise?

Yes, we’d love to hear what you have in mind. Your group can bring its own programme, work on personal projects or invite a teacher. If you’d like to teach at a retreat we organise, we pay visiting teachers and look after promotion and attendee bookings, with fees and responsibilities agreed together beforehand. We welcome different arts and crafts, provided the room and setup suit your plans.

Do we need to have organised a retreat before?

No, you’re welcome to start with an idea. Tell us about your teaching or group experience and where you’d appreciate some help. We can talk through your plans together and agree who will look after what before you book.

How many people can we bring and what is the workspace like?

Our 90 m² Craft Room has space for around 12–18 makers, depending on the craft and layout. Heating, cooling and flexible furniture help us set up the workspaces for your group. The park has 18 cabins, plus caravan and camping sites. We’ll check both the workspace and available accommodation for your dates. For retreats we organise, group size also depends on the teaching and event costs.

Can we book midweek or hold a day workshop and is there a minimum stay?

We’re happy to discuss midweek or weekend dates, depending on room and accommodation availability. Tell us how long you’d like to stay and we’ll confirm the arrangements for your retreat. Separate day workshops, including local attendees, can be discussed, with room hire and support quoted. Day attendance isn’t a standard option for our overnight retreats.

Who supplies equipment and arranges catering?

If you’re organising your own retreat, bring the craft equipment and materials your group needs and arrange your catering or dining. We can suggest local contacts and help with enquiries, though in-house catering isn’t a standard inclusion for independent groups. For retreats we organise, we work with the teacher to agree the equipment, materials, meals and other inclusions.

What will hosting cost and can you help us plan it?

Tell us about your dates, group and ideas, and we’ll talk through what’s possible. For arrangements we can offer, we’ll prepare a proposal covering accommodation, room use and any agreed teaching, catering, kits or extra support, including planning and hosting time where needed. We can also discuss local outings and an itinerary. We can help plan a private retreat for your group, starting with a conversation about your needs and whether you’d like us to find a suitable teacher. Dates, teaching and other arrangements are subject to availability and agreed before booking.
